Bruins top Pens in OT, 4-3

Coming off of last nights OT winner by the Patriots, the Bruins went to OT for the second game in a row to defeat Crosby and the Penguins.

A sweet goal by Loui Erikkson got the B’s on top 1-0, and shortly after Riley Smith got a PP goal to make it 2-0.

37 seconds into the second , James Neal scored the lone goal of the period to cut the lead in half for Pittsburgh, 2-1.

He then got his second goal of the night about halfway through the third to tie it up at 2 a piece.

Big Z got the lead back for the Bruins but with 0.03 seconds left, Crosby gets one past Rask to send it to OT.

The OT was quite the opposite of Sunday night’s Patriot’s game, as it was ended 34 seconds in by Torey Krug and his 7th goal of the year.

Good win, but letting teams back in isn’t a good trend. It feels like the Bruins set up a charity. Play the Bruins, get at least one point. In the last 3 games, they’ve lost in a shoot out and then won consecutive OT’s.

Also, Krug was sporting a pretty slick Bruins jersey in his postgame interview. I’d love to see something like this the next time the B’s are in the Winter Classic (and since there’s like 5 this year, I think they’ll be in one real soon).

Also the Celtics beat the Bobcats.
