Every Summer The Sun Sets Later in the Day, and Every Year, We’re Still Surprised

I saw this tweet from Richard Hammond. Pretty true.

It happens every single year, and yet we all do the same thing.

In the summer “Wow, it’s still light out at 9 PM!”

In the winter “Wow, I can’t believe it’s dark at 4 PM!”

You’d think we’d get over this, but nope. Every year it’s the same old routine. It’s not like it even happens that quick. We slowly ease into it and then it just hits us.

Also, how many people think about what time it is if there wasn’t day light savings? Basically for like a week after DLS, we all probably go “Last week, it was dark/light at this time!” “It was this bright at 5 last week!”
