And it hits as hard as Batman does in the trailer. Best trailer for the movie yet. It starts off with Alfred helping out Bruce- I mean, Batman-by remote piloting his Batwing into someplace to let Batman hop out to get to work.
What does he do once he arrives at this place you might ask? He just beats down all these thugs in the most badass ways Batman can.
This is the most brutal, hard hitting Batman we have seen. It was very reminiscent of the Batman Arkham videogames. Love the shot of Batman opening the cape as he breaks through the window and also like him choke slamming and or rock bottoming the thug and just straight up tossing another dude into a wall.
Wonder Woman looks pretty good too, just jumping into battle.
The end has one of the best moments. Batman blocking Superman’s punch with Supes in disbelief. Awesome.
I’m totally hyped again for this movie. The last trailer was a little bit of a let down. The first one was better, but this final one is the best yet.
It was leaked earlier, but Zach Snyder and WB released the real deal video to youtube, which was great for all us fans.
It has an intense, dark vibe to the movie.
Also, note Batman holding a sniper rifle at 1:34, a nod to the comics The Dark Knight Returns, which heavily influences this movie.
This would make my day seeing this guy blow past me on the highway.
Also, props to the guy for wearing the cape. That completes the look.
It seems if you’re a fan of Boston sports, you either win big or lose big. Nothing in between. Don’t get me wrong, we’re all spoiled with all of the success and championships from the last 12 years. There are, however, just as many lows to go with that. Here’s my quick rundown.
- 2002 Super Bowl Champions
- 2004 Super Bowl Champions
- 2004 World Series Champions
- 2005 Super Bowl Champions
- 2007 World Series Champions
- 2008 NBA Champions
- 2011 Stanley Cup Champions
- 2013 World Series Champions
And the Lows
- 2003 ALCS Loss (Game 7 Extra inning’s walk off to the Yankees)
- 2006 AFC Championship Loss (Peyton comes back from 18 down to advance to SB)
- 2008 Super Bowl Loss (Perfect season ruined in final minutes thanks to miraculous catch, again to New York)
- 2010 NBA Championship Loss (C’s lose Perkins, fall to rival Lakers in 7 in close defeat)
- 2010 SC Playoff Loss (B’s blow 3-0 lead against Philly)
- 2012 Super Bowl Loss (again to the Giants in the same fasion as the previous, de ja vu)
- 2013 SC Finals (B’s allow 2 goals in 17 in finals minutes of Game 6 in Boston)
- 2014 AFC Championship (loss to Peyton Manning)
- 2014 SC Playoff Loss (B’s lose to rival Canadiens in Game 7)
So basically, all of the tough loses come to the biggest rivals of the respective teams. Peyton beats Brady. Yankees beat the Sox. Candiens top Bruins, Lakers over Celtics.
Anyway, enough complaining.
I’ll just leave this Bruins Game 7 before and after photo of Ben Affleck, which sums up how all us Bruins fans feel.
Before Game 7
After Game 7
…a big tease.
Nolan has the teaser trailer down to a science. Show just enough to get everyone interested in the movie without actually saying what the movie is about, which is nice since half the trailers out there show everything from a movie it seems.
From the trailer, all we know is it deals with space and Mathew McConaughey is in it.
Check out some of his other teasers, they do the same thing.
At the end of this one, big time goosebumps. Once again, you don’t know what the movie is about until the very end when you see literally a nanosecond of Batman flash across the screen and then the slow reveal of the Bat symbol.
You know it’s Batman, but don’t know who he’s fighting, who the other characters are, what the story is
Ok, so it says that your mind is the scene of the crime
“Wait, what? How? Aw man, I can’t wait to see this movie to find out” -Everybody.
The Dark Knight Rises
It’s a little tougher to have a good teaser when the main character is already known and we, as the audience, know who some of the possible characters are, so this one isn’t the best, but it makes up for it at the end. All of a sudden, BAM, Batman backing down from Bane. Batman never backs down. And to top it off, he’s winded and laboring. You know he’s gonna take a beating (and if you know the comics, you already know that was going to happen) That few seconds alone makes that teaser great.
Instead of teasing the plot or story like the Inception and Interstellar ones do, this one teases a character- Bane.
Let’s be honest though. As soon as “From Christopher Nolan” popped up, I knew I would be seeing this movie, irregardless of what the teaser was like.
